6. Mardaani 2

Release Date – December 13
Director – Gopi Puthran
Starring – Rani Mukerji

First on the Bollywood Movies December 2019 calendar. A sequel to the 2014 film of the same name, Mardaani 2 stars Rani Mukerji in the lead role reprising her role as Shivani Roy. The 2014 film was a decent success at the box-office. And an entertaining drama with Rani portraying a character that is diverse, and unique when compared to her previous movies. Hopefully, Mardaani 2 will duplicate the same success as the previous film by racking up solid box-office numbers.

Starring – Akshay, Kareena, Diljit & Kiara

Next on the Hindi Movies December 2019 calendar. The last release date of the year always belongs to Dharma Productions and Good Newwz will release around the same time as Simmba from last year, and will hopefully deliver yet another blockbuster success for the studio. Good Newwz seems to have a fresh and unique subject accompanied by some stellar cast and the absolute flair of Dharma Productions will make this a film a success and hopefully will be a good palette cleanser after watching Dabangg 3.

4. Pati Patni Aur Woh

Director – Mudassar Aziz
Starring – Kartik, Bhumi & Ananya

Kartik Aaryan, who is now starting to become the household name of comedy films will once again grace the silver screen as Chinutu Tyagi, after the tremendous success of his previous film – Luka Chuppi. Pati Patni Aur Woh also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday as the female leads. Despite being the remake of the 1978 film of the same name, one of the many reasons why this film will impress the Indian audience is also because of the director. Mudassar Aziz, who directed Happy Bhag Jayegi back in 2016 follows the concept of family comedy perfectly. And with a source material which proved to be a success in different iterations, I’m sure he can create something special here.

2. Jumanji: The Next Level
