15. #Suirya40

Cast – Suriya, Priyanka Mohan

First on the list of the Upcoming Tamil Movies in 2021, this untitled project is supposed to be Suriya’s next theatrical release, directed by Pandiraj and produced by Sun Pictures. Suriya, picking up a rural family drama after a long gap and with a sensible director who recently made emotional dramas as his forte, has made this combo exciting. Priyanka Arul Mohan (‘Gangleader’ fame) will be playing the female lead and D. Imman will score the music for the film.


14. Sarpatta Parambarai

Director Pa. Ranjith’s Sarpatta Parambarai, starring Arya in the lead role, was shaped up silently and created a buzz with a scintillating first look that revealed the mindblowing physique of the boxer. The movie revolves around boxing and the politics behind it, and this created an eagerness among the audience to witness an authentic sports drama of the 90s.

The movie is already declared to be based on the Tamil novel ‘Vaadivasal’ written by CS Chellappa, and being a story around the Jallikatu event and the social discrimination around it, we can expect a rooted action drama this year.

Anirudh Ravichander teams up with Kamal Haasan for the first time and it has been a long time witnessing Ulaganayagan on screens, only as an actor that has increased the excitement factor for the movie.

Kanagaraj, an ardent fan of Kamal Haasan, has structured the movie to be a proper action drama. Also, with the tagline ‘Once Upto a Time There Lived a Ghost Named Vikram’ mentioned in the posters and the teaser, there is a different level of audience excitement for this movie.

Music is being composed by D. Imman, while Vetri and Ruben handle cinematography and editing, respectively.
