Elvis: “The Rise of the King of Rock and Roll” – Journal with Yas #9

I’ve watched Elvis three times now and I just love it more and more every time! It’s truly a masterpiece and has very quickly made it’s way into being one of my favourite films of all time. Everything about it is perfect – the casting, the music, the style – I’m simply obsessed. Austin Butler absolutely smashed this role and it is clear the lengths he went to to transform himself into one of the most iconic musicians, fully immersing himself into the role. The attention to detail in this film is impeccable.

The music is obviously amazing and Baz Luhrmann’s style was absolutely perfect for this movie! I could go on forever talking about my love for this film which is why I wrote a lengthy review over on my Letterboxd account (@yasaminpasha) so make sure to go and check it out! This is a MUST SEE on the big screen, and will be one you’re going to want to watch more than once! ❤️🖤🕺🏻🎤🎸🎹⚡️🎶🇺🇸💸👨‍👩‍👧🥂✨
