Cold Case [Telugu] Review: A Bad Blend of Thrill & Horror!

Cold Case on AHA is a 2021 Telugu movie and a dubbed version of a Malayalam movie of the same name with Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role and Aditi Balan, Pooja Mohanraj, Anil Nedumangad and others in supporting roles. With a runtime of two-hour-twenty minutes, this AHA exclusive explores the suspense of a criminal investigation that runs through the different view points of two people.

The storyline of Cold Case on AHA begins when a human skull is discovered in an abandoned package, and ACP Sathyajith played by Prithviraj is tasked with identifying the victim and hunting the killer. Simultaneously, a journalist played by Aditi Balan is bothered by a ghost spirit and investigates it.

First off, let’s start with the negatives of Cold Case on AHA. Sreenath V. Nathâ€™s (the writer) storytelling style was below par, especially in the first half, which totally lacked the surprise element. Also, the parallel stories served more of a confusion in the overall context. However, during the second half, the film was just above average, and the climax wasnâ€™t that interesting.

On the bright side, the cinematography of Cold Case on AHA by Gireesh Gangadharan was praiseworthy, with exquisite camera shots. The editing work by Shameer Muhammed was below par, alongside the sound mixing. Prakash Alexâ€™s background music blended well with the storyline, and the only song was freely flowing with the narrative.

Prithviraj Sukumaran effortlessly played the role of police office with style and appeal in Cold Case on AHA. Aditi Balan, who played a significant role in the film did well with her composed attitude and mannerisms matching an intelligent investigative journalist. Late Anil Nedumangad had played the role of a cop in the special investigation team decently along with Athmiya Rajan, who added to the charm of a mysterious character.

Overall, Cold Case on AHA starring Prithviraj Sukumaran is a complex investigative thriller drama that fails to impress with an inferior mix of supernatural elements. A strict one-time watch if you’re bored and having nothing else to do on a Monday evening! Watch Cold Case on AHA here.
