A gargantuan team-up between two high-profile actors and a massive production house financing the project, WAR is undoubtedly this year’s biggest movie in terms of scale and popularity. Marketed as a kick-ass action-thriller, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff leading the movie along with Vaani Kapoor is a plus point and will help succeed the movie box-office wise. Furthermore, I sat down and curated the Top 5 reasons why WAR will triumph in all markets and amount to huge box-office success. Here you go!

With Tollywood’s underwhelming action-thriller, Saaho, disappointing Hindi audience, for the most part, people are still interested to watch an entertaining action film with a decent storyline. Because of that reason, WAR might be the film they’re looking for. Excluding the generic plot, the action sequences and the scale of WAR look very much similar to the Tollywood juggernaut, and hopefully, this movie turns out to be good.
Unlike Sujeeth, who directed Saaho, WAR’s director Siddharth Anand does have some significant experience and a credible resume to direct a big-budget action film. His filmography comprises of partly successful films like Ta Ra Rum Pum, Bachna Ae Haseeno and Anjaana Anjaani and the blockbuster action-comedy Bang Bang! starring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. So, without a doubt, Siddharth Anand is the right guy to helm this larger-than-life movie without concerning the producers too much.

With the visual scale equivalent to Hollywood action films, Yash Raj Films did spend a decent amount of change to produce this film. The trailers gave us a glimpse of the breathtaking visuals and the ridiculous camera shots in the movie. With that extra budget which will tower over 300 crores, WAR will have the luxury of showcasing spectacular imagery with commendable production design and noteworthy cinematography.
WAR is also the first collaboration between Hrithik Roshan and YRF after Dhoom 2 which released way back in 2006. So, when it comes to the overall outlook, I can’t help but draw comparisons between the two movies. They’re similar in terms of the action scenes, production design and the usage of female leads. However, with more advancements when it comes to the technical aspects of the industry, we can expect a much refined and a very-well designed film from YRF this time around.

And of course, the major selling point of the movie is the rivalry, history, companionship and the face-off between Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in a no-holds-barred contest. Tiger being the biggest action stars of today’s generation standing opposite to Hrithik, a Superstar in his own right is a special attraction which has everyone interested. So, it should be interesting to see how Siddharth Anand capitalizes on his lead actor’s strengths and weaknesses. Also, not to anyone’s surprise, Tiger removed his shirt in one of the action scenes to show off his abs which I’m guessing appeals to someone except Disha Patani.
