The debut film of Kangana Ranaut is undoubtedly one of the bests in her prolific career. Also starring Emraan Hashmi and Shiney Ahuja in the lead roles, Gangster garnered a lot of attention back in 2006 primary because of the chartbuster songs. From Ya Ali to Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai and Bheegi Bheegi by James, the movie’s soundtrack was a stupendous hit. However, in between the music and the talented cast, Anurag Basu’s ability to showcase a beautifully written love story in the most endearing way possible played a significant role in this film’s success.

Director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s third directorial, Panga, co-starring Richa Chadda, and Jassie Gill is an endearing and heart-warming tale of a former Kabaddi captain making her comeback after a hiatus of eight years. Apart from Kangana, the credit for this lovely movie goes to its director-writer director Tiwari as well. Like her debut film, Nil Battey Sanatta, which touched a delicate mother-daughter equation, Panga is her ode to the female tribe, giving them the impetus to fly and that it is never too late to pursue one’s dreams!

Starring alongside Lisa Haydon, Queen is a unique ride filled with bliss, passion, guiltlessness and fearlessness. Accompanied by scenic shots and stirring background music, it is delightful and moving for the most part. Primarily, Kangana gives one of her career-best performance. However, the screenplay was slightly unbalanced, but you shouldn’t miss watching this very delightful movie.
