Riverdale Season 3 Review: A Mind-Bending Thriller!

Cast – KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart
Genre – Mystery Teen Drama
Streaming Platform – Netflix

Introduction

It would take a lifetime to untangle the mystery of Riverdale and the third season of this incredible saga definitely brings out the most twisted of plotlines. Riverdale is one of the best series on Netflix right now and with this season, you’re in for a lot of surprises from the story. The second season ended with a shocking confusion so, if you haven’t caught up with Season 3 yet, it’s high time that you did.

Rationalization

Previously on Riverdale, our beloved Archie had gotten arrested immediately after he won the election for the Student Body President, Alice had been introduced to the farm, Hal Copper had been arrested and Veronica had bought Pop’s Chocklitte shop from her father. This season, things take a darker turn. With Archie’s boxing career to his physical brawl with Hiram, he takes on a lot of heartache and distress. He manages to stay in character and remain honourable as always. All those experiences shape Archie’s personality and it is in a consistent pace. Veronica on the other hand, proves that she’s a true Lodge and creates an empire of her own. Her character development from a spoilt rich girl to a self-made boss lady is truly enchanting to watch.

Jughead is still the Hellcaster, calculating, hunting for answers and fighting for everything he believes in. The show gives all the darkness and depth to Jughead and to watch him overcome the plague of Gryphins and Gargoyles never losing his wit and originality is something only Cole Sprouse could ever do. Lili Reinhart single-handedly runs the show, with her excellent performance becuase Betty’s character has all the best scenes in this season. Other characters like Alice, Cheryl, Hiram and Edgar are just as enticing and bring the best twists to the scenario. Without revealing big spoilers, the story travels around the rise and fall of Fizzle rocks, the union of the vicious villains of the town, surprises and shocking events concerning the Jones’ family, how Betty who loses everything by the end of the season finds a ray of hope again and a staggering, jaw-dropping finale episode.

For all you Arthur Conan Doyle and Nancy Drew fans out there, this is one story you don’t wanna miss.

Netflix is my bae but I've also got a thing for Tamil and Malayalam movies. If watching movies and tv series was a paid job, guess who would be the multimillionaire?
