Logan – Movie Review
Directed by James Mangold, Logan will be the last interpretation by Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and stars Patrick Stewart as Professor X and Dafne Keen as Laura.
With pure anguish, despair, and sorrow filled in his heart. Logan is now become an alcoholic and is a complete counterpart of himself living inside a warehouse with Professor X and driving a limousine for a living. Subsequently, he stumbles across a covenant to cart Laura across the country for few multiple shady reasons. Upon accepting the share, Logan finds himself in trouble with a group of ex-military hitmen who are after Laura who has few special abilities up her sleeve.
The hugely entertaining factor about the film were the brutal and the callous action sequences and I should give the credit to the studio for not restricting the film to PG-13 and giving the liberty with a Rated-R rating when it’s essential. Moreover, director Mangold didn’t hesitate to display a gory horrid picture during the action scenes that allowed the lead characters to go berserk and proliferating the intrigue throughout the entirety of the film.

Also, the screenwriters did a remarkable job in developing the lead characters of the film by allotting them a good amount of screen time to evolve and advance with the storyline. But, on the opposite side, the film was a letdown on the emotional side as few scenes and especially the climax didn’t feel tender or impactful.
Nevertheless, with amazing performances, thrilling action sequences and a splendid directing job by Mangold, Logan had everything to offer as a Rated-R action film. And the most impressive part is that it never felt like a grandiose superhero film and felt more like an independent western which was spectacular to watch. Overall, this is a great send-off for Hugh Jackman as the character of Wolverine and one of the best Wolverine films released till date.
