Invincible S3 Review: Compelling & Engaging!

In a sea of superhero content, Invincible stands out as my top choice. While Marvel and DC are still trying to figure their shit out, Invincible has consistently delivered compelling and engaging stories.

S3 takes the show to new heights. While previous seasons focused on Mark’s journey to becoming a superhero, this season pushes him even further, testing what he’s willing to sacrifice in order to save others. Each episode crafts new moral dilemmas for Mark, deepening his character while expanding the arcs of others around him.

Atom Eve and Rex Splode grow in complexity, and the introduction of Oliver is a delightful addition. The subplot of Allen and Nolan’s struggles in the Viltrumite prison offers a thrilling secondary storyline that complements the main narrative. Though Episode 5 caused a slight lull in my interest, the overall season kept me fully engaged.

What truly makes this season stand out are its final two episodes. The showrunners nail these pivotal story arcs, delivering explosive and brutal conclusions that highlight Mark’s growth. The highly anticipated fight with Conquest leaves a lasting impact, delivering everything fans hoped for: intense storytelling, improved animation, and stellar voice work from Steven Yeun and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Invincible S3 may just be my favorite yet. It packs emotional gut punches, masterful character arcs, and jaw-dropping moments of violence and drama. Watch Invincible S3 on Prime Video here.

‘Invincible S3’ Rating – 4.5/5
