Looking forward to the Best Movies Releasing in March 2020, there are only a few to choose from because of the lack of releases this month. From Angrezi Medium, a spin-off movie to the 2017 blockbuster hit – Hindi Medium and a sequel to the 2018 acclaimed horror film – A Quiet Place, multiple movies from Bollywood, Tollywood to Malayalam cinema are releasing in March. 6. Onward

Release Date – March 6
Director – Dan Scanlon
Starring – Tom Holland, Chris Pratt

Directed by Dan Scanlon, Onward is a computer-animated film produced by the Pixar Animation Studios and comprises the voices of stars like Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, and many more. On the review aggregator website, Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds a 7.2/10 rating and the consensus state that even though the movie might hold comparison with other Pixar classics, the film has its own merits. So, if you’re in the mood to watch a light-hearted animation film, Onward is the one.


5. Mulan (2020)

Release Date – March 27
Director – Niki Caro
Starring – Liu Yifel

Best Movies Releasing in March 2020: Following the lines of The Lion King and Aladdin, Mulan is the live-action adaptation of Disney’s 1998 animated film of the same name. The movie is based on the Chinese folklore ‘The Ballad of Mulan’ and has Liu Yifel playing the titular character, alongside Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee, and Jet Li. Mulan is scheduled to release on March 27th, and it is also the first live-action remake film from Disney to receive a PG-13 rating.


4. A Quiet Place 2

Director – John Krasinski
Starring – Emily Blunt & John Krasinski

Following the blockbuster success of A Quiet Place, which received several nominations and awards at various events, A Quiet Place 2 still comprises of the same cast and crew. John Krasinski is helming the film again, and Emily Blunt is playing the lead role for the second time. The 2018 film uniquely presented an engaging drama, with a refreshing script and a well-crafted screenplay. And I hope the sequel keeps up the momentum created by its predecessor.


3. V – The Movie

Release Date – March 25
Director – Mohan Krishna Indraganti
Starring – Nani & Sudheer Babu

Written and Directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti, V is the 25th film of the Natural Star Nani and the most interesting aspect of the film is that he will be seen in a negative role for the first time in the career. It will hit the screens on 25th March at the festival of Ugadi (Telugu New Year). The film also has Sudheer Babu, Nivetha Thomas and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles.


2. Angrezi Medium

Release Date – March 13
Director – Homi Adajania
Starring – Irrfan Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan

Best Movies Releasing in March 2020: Directed by Homi Adajania, Angrezi Medium is the spin-off to the 2017 hit film, Hindi Medium, and stars Irrfan Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Radhika Madan as the primary cast. Hindi Medium went on to become a blockbuster hit, minting more than 300 crores at the worldwide box office. It also picked the Best Film award at the 63rd Filmfare Awards, and Irrfan Khan was awarded the Best Actor honor. So, a lot is riding on the shoulders of this spin-off, and I hope it is as hilarious as its predecessor.


1. Sooryavanshi

Release Date – March 24
Director – Rohit Shetty

Starring – Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif

Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif will be a part of Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe alongside Simmba and Singham, who will be seen in cameo appearances in the film. As introduced at the end of Simmba, Akshay Kumar will portray the role of DCP Veer – Chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad, and the movie is scheduled to release on March 24, 2020. – Surya Komal
