An aspiring fashion designer (Eloise Turner) who is fascinated with the fashion of the 60s moves to London to pursue her dreams. Directed by Edgar Wright, Last Night in Soho starts off a little slow as it gives a little background on the primary character, but once it picks up the pace, the movie is brilliant. The color palette between the two realms is contrasting and beautifully done, and the performances, especially Anya Taylor-Joy and Thomasin McKenzie, steal the show. Great script and an unexpected twist, do not miss it. – Zoha Junaid (@zohasreviews)
Director – Robert Eggers
Genre – Historical Action
Streaming – Peacock (USA)
One of the Best Movies of Anya Taylor-Joy, The Northman, Robert Eggers’ third film, goes back to 915 A. D. where Prince Amleth is revisited by his father, who is returning from his prior conquests. When Amleth’s uncle, Fjölnir, murders his father and abducts his mother, he sets out on a quest for revenge and kill his uncle. A spin on the revenge tale by adding historical accuracy and supernatural elements which heighten the script to balance the mythology and folklore storytelling. This is a mythological Icelandic tale told like never before. – Stephanie Young (@cinemasteph_7)

[This film is also ft. in our ‘Best Horror Movies on Amazon’ list]
A folk horror movie written and directed by Robert Eggers The Witch also stars Ralph Ineson, Kate Dicki, and Harvey Scrimshaw in supporting roles and revolves around a family which moves from England to a ranch in the middle of nowhere and is haunted by a mysterious entity. Based on quite a few myths and tales of the 1600s, I found the concept and the element of mystery around the story very gripping. Although the scare factor of the film is very minimal, the Eggers and the performances by Anya Taylor-Joy and the entire cast make this one of the Best Horror Movies released in the past decade. – Zoha Junaid (@zohasreviews)
