Yet another comedy-drama from Ayushmann Khurrana is entertaining through and through similar to his previous hits. Parmanu, starring John Abraham in the primary role is loosely based on the Nuclear bomb tests conducted by the Indian Army at Pokhran in 1998 and tells how the historic plan came into flourishment. Set in the late 90s, the demoded presentation by Abhishek Sharma was one of the most impressive attributes of the entire film. Everything from the shot composition, music, and background score, characters, felt like they belong in the 90s, as we can effortlessly convince an alien by saying that this movie came out in 1998. Showcasing a sensitive and clamant message, director Anubhav Sinha, succeeds by illustrating the theme with a tight-screenplay and hard-hitting dialogues.
The entire courtroom drama that eclipses the second half was elevated eminently by some powerful performances by the lead stars Rishi Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu and was also complimented excellently by Ashutosh Rana. What do we expect from a movie filled with vengeance and retaliation? A typical tit for tat story between a good guy and a bad guy? Badlapur also explores the same traditional premise, but the unpredictable factor assists the movie. Also, the most entertaining part of the film is its compelling screenplay. In simple words, this movie can be described as a vicious labyrinth that keeps you guessing about the finale, but you can’t envision it. And that’s the best part of the film, it doesn’t follow the typical three-act structure but maintains a non-linear type of storytelling throughout the movie. One of the Best Bollywood Movies on ZEE5.
