3. Karakattakkaran (1989)

During a visit to a village for a stage performance with his troop, Muthaiya (Ramarajan) comes across a native Karagam dancer, Kamatchi (Kanaga), and how their ego-filled clash turns into endearing love forms the remainder of the plot.

The overall movie is a compelling entertainer from start to finish with Goundamani and Senthil comedy track alongside Kovai Sarala and a myriad of comedic scenes from Thillanamoganambal’s reference to Soppasundari’s car, and many more. 2. Guru Sisyan (1988)

How Iyampettai Arivudainambi Kaliyaperumal Indran (Rajinikanth) receives a job and manipulates his boss Sriramachandramurthy (Thengai Srinivasan) through a series of lies is the story of the movie. Rajinikanth’s racy dialogue delivery and his innocent expressions added a new flavor to the comedy.

The sensible and the intelligent comedy scenes written by Visu and Balachander’s classy execution added with energetic music by M. S. Viswanathan made the movie enjoyable without any harmful comedy.
