Thunder Force Review: Terrible in Every Way Imaginable!
Thunder Force on Netflix has to be one of the worst superhero films that I’ve ever seen. It fails at everything it tries to do, such as being funny and having good action scenes. The best way to describe this film is that it’s a waste of talent and money.

Something that baffles me about Thunder Force on Netflix is that it stars actors like Melissa McCarthy, Octavia Spencer, and Jason Bateman, yet they all give Bad performances. I know for a fact that McCarthy is a good actor, but she keeps making bad and forgettable comedies. They’re a waste of her talent. The character that McCarthy plays in this film is so annoying. She’s extremely unfunny despite constantly trying to be funny, and she also does some stupid stuff. It’s almost impossible to root for someone who is constantly making bad decisions.
Octavia Spencer’s character, on the other hand, is beyond bland. Her performance is also bad, which is shocking because she’s an incredible actor. The chemistry between these two actors is fine, but the relationship between their characters pretty odd and barely developed.
The worst aspect of Thunder Force is easily its script. All of the dialogue is painful to listen to, and the story itself is unbearably predictable. I was pretty much able to predict every twist and turn of the film after watching fifteen minutes of it. I hate the fact that this film doesn’t try anything new. Instead, it follows the same general structure as most other films in this genre.
It also goes for the most predictable jokes imaginable. I’ll admit that I laughed a few times, but that’s because the film is constantly throwing jokes at the screen. Most of them are terrible. However, the worst example of bad writing in Thunder Force has to go to the film’s introduction. It’s so bad that it’s unintentionally hilarious!
Another reason why I don’t like Thunder Force is that it fails at providing us with good action scenes. They’re just full of unconvincing special effects and unimpressive choreography. The cinematography is also very bland. If I’m being honest, I don’t think that Thunder Force succeeds at anything. There’s a scene towards the end of the films that try to get the audience emotionally, but it falls flat because it’s undermined just a couple of minutes later. That’s just stupid.
Overall, I definitely don’t recommend checking out Thunder Force. It’s absolutely terrible in every way imaginable. Octavia Spencer deserves better than this! Watch ‘Thunder Force’ on Netflix here.
