The Kissing Booth 3 Review: One of the Worst Films of the Year!

The third and the final chapter in the much-beloved and widely popular Netflix teen comedy franchise, The Kissing Booth 3, directed by Vince Marcello, sees the final return of the primary star cast in Joey King, Joel Courtney, and Jacob Elordi. So, let’s us right into my criticisms, and I have to say that I’m done with this franchise.

The Kissing Booth 3 movie made me angry. The sheer existence of this movie, along with the obnoxious marketing and the overall experience I had with it hit a nerve. It is an embarrassment of a film and is one of the worst to come out this year.

Now, both the first and second films were pretty terrible, but this one is special. The Kissing Booth 3 is pointless, cheap, predictable, and lazy. I had already shown disdain towards these characters, but this film portrays them as the most juvenile, despicable, and moronic people in existence.

What I despised most about Elle, played by Joey King as the protagonist previously is emphasized further here, leading her to act so stupidly that it serves as a mockery towards the conclusion of the film. These are really, really terrible characters, and their arcs are lazily wrapped up in the cheesiest, most manipulative way possible.

Creatively, there is no effort put behind the cheap presentation of the film. This director sucks at his job, providing such bland cinematography, and utilizing an obnoxious stream of licensed musical sequences coursing with a lame stock musical score. It is just… hideous to look at. It is so “pretty and polished” that it looks disgusting.

The Kissing Booth 3 has no reason to exist. All it does is provide a forced, over-extended conclusion to these character arcs that no one ever cared about in the first place. The cast, crew, and executives at Netflix should be ASHAMED with this horrible movie. Had it not been for Space Jam: A New Legacy, this would be the worst film of the year thus far. Don’t pay this film any attention, as it does not deserve it.
