Nayattu Review: An Intense Thriller!

Martin Prakatt’s 2021 Indian Malayalam language movie Nayattu is an intense thriller portraying a tough situation that three police personnel have to handle and the wild hunts which follow after their absconding. Kunchako Boban, Joju George, and Nimisha Sajayan feature in pivotal roles, alongside strong characters by Late Anil Nedumangadu and Jaffer Idukki.

The storyline of Nayattu explores the journey of Praveen Micheal, played brilliantly by Kunchako Boban, who is new to the Piravom Police Station is dragged into a troublesome situation alongside SI Maniyan (Joju George) when handling an issue of their colleague Sunitha (Nimisha Sajayan).

Subsequently, the situation goes haywire when they find themselves in a chaotic accident that has political consequences. Scared and in disbelief about the whole circumstance, they begin to escape, and the Police start hunting them down. Will they be able to prove themselves as innocent is the remainder of the 124-minute film.

Nayattu is a terrific outing for Martin Prakkat, especially after Dulquer Salmaan and Parvathy’s ‘Charlie.’ Also, in Nayattu, the performances from the cast were top-notch, Nimisha Sajayan impresses CPO Sunitha alongside Kunchako Boban and Joju George.

Overall, Nayattu is a finely crafted film that gives detailed perceptions of how an absconded person is tracked down and had a top-notch visual impact. A splendid Survival Thriller that’s worth a watch and is one of the Best Malayalam Movies of 2021,
