Vipin Atleyâ€™s Musical Chair explores the themes of life and death like a puzzle, and this was the second Malayalam movie to have a direct OTT release after Sufiyum Sujatayum. Also starring Vipin Atley in the lead role, the film takes us through the life of Martin, who fears his impending death call because of his unhealthy habits he cannot get through or quit. Furthermore, the script of Musical Chair is structured as an independent theatrical-drama, and it demonstrates to us the many aspects of Martin’s life from cigarette smoking to drinking and bad eating habits in the below-average first half. Subsequently, in the second half, the movie traverses through Martin’s journey of him finding the reason behind death, and so on, which is very much watchable.

Vipin Atley managed to take care of multiple departments in his fourth venture, both in front and behind the camera. His work as a composer was decent as the background music matched the pacing of the movie, and the camera shots of Kochi and its the bustling city life were captured in its true sense.
