Money Heist Season 4 Review: Lives Up to all the Hype!

Money Heist, also known as La Casa de Papel, is a Netflix Original crime- drama, having an ensemble list of Spanish cast and crew. Created by Alex Pina, Part 4 of this highly-acclaimed series consists of eight episodes and takes off right where Part 3 ended and devolves into a ton of exciting happenings inside the Bank of Spain, where the current heist is taking place. With the brains behind the monumental heist, The Professor, on the run, without a permanent place to operate the heist from, in Part 4 of Money Heist, we get to encounter his team going berserk. Everyone loses their minds and we could already see the plan losing its grip and going down the drain. The problem primarily commences when people who have emotionally attached take decisions that largely affect the core of the plan.

Professor was always against the idea of love and emotions in the heist, as he knew it would ravage the plan. But, the same love and affection everyone share for each other is the main strength of their team, which drives them to do everything considered impossible, as we already know to what extent they went to save Rio.

I don’t want to give away the plot and spoil it for others as it is too early to discuss the events that took place inside the Bank of Spain. However, the formulation of the series seems unique compared to Part 1. We know who would screw up the plan and who are likely to make stupid decisions, and sometimes it tends to get predictable.

Even though things don’t go as planned by The Professor and his brother Berlin, they find a way to get out of the complexity and create a winning situation. Part 4 of Money Heist is full of exceptional action, emotions and provide solid entertainment through and through the eight episodes with stellar performances from the entire cast.

I expected the closure to the heist of Bank of Spain, but there is a scope for another season in the franchise. Although I loved the way the creators kept me engaged, with my blood pressure constantly increasing due to all the happenings inside the bank, I would personally like to see an end, as it might get too predictable, comparable to the previous heist. But, yes, the series is still entertaining with The Professor devising new ways to help people inside the bank, it would be better to end it altogether for everyone. However, that’s just my personal opinion.

With that being said, Money Heist is still one of the best crime dramas out there, and the new season does not compromise on the entertainment factor and takes us all on a roller-coaster ride. With commendable performances and splendid storytelling, Part 4 lives up to all the expectations and the mammoth hype. Bella Ciao. Watch ‘Money Heist Part 4’ on Netflix here.
