Maha (2022) Review: Amateurish!
Maha on AHA is a 2022 Telugu movie written and directed by U. R. Jameel and a dubbed version of the Tamil film of the same name. The 110-minute crime-thriller stars Hansika Motwani and Srikant in the primary roles, with Sujith Shankar, Manasvi Kottachi, and others in supporting roles. #Atman T. R. Silambarasan is also seen in an extended cameo role. Ghibran scored the music for the film with R. Madhi as the cinematographer.

Released on July 22, 2022, the storyline of Maha on AHA revolves around our title character, played by Hansika Motwani, a mom who loses her child to a psychotic killer’s murderous spree and goes in search of answers. So, first off, let’s discuss the writing of this film. The screenplay by UR Jameel felt very randomized, and generic and is very uninspired. The subplots and the characters do not leave any lasting impact and do not get enough time to even breathe.

Moreover, the emotions in the entirety of the film are also not well written, and the themes are ordinary and felt like we’ve seen them a million times before. Hansika Motwani, in her 50th film as an actor, is not convincing at all as a grieving mother. Pretty bad casting to be honest, when she cannot come anywhere near emoting in a sentimental scene. The cameo done by STR is also perfectly spoiled, and it is pretty baffling why he settled to do this in the first place.
Overall Maha on AHA, is a total nothing of a film that you definitely not consider watching on any given day. Even though you hope nothing from this film and still go with an open mind, it will disappoint you as a viewer. Hansika Motwani made it for well over fifteen years in the industry now and deserves something better, or maybe she is just going with the flow and collecting pay cheques.
