Rajisha Vijayan’s June (2022) Review: A Feel-Good Movie!

June on AHA is a 2022 Telugu movie and a dubbed version of a 2019 Malayalam film of the same name starring Rajisha Vijayan in the primary role with Sarjano Khalid, Arjun Ashokan, Joju George, and Sunny Wayne as the supporting cast. It has Jithin Stanislaus handling the camera and Ifthi scoring the music.

Directed by Ahammed Khabeer, June on AHA is a critical and commercial success and revolves around a coming-of-age of a girl named June. With fun-filled elements of school life and subsequently, the movie showcases the romantic journey of June (Rajisha Vijayan) through different stages of her adolescent life.

The teenage romance of June with Noel, played by Sarjano Khalid, takes a chunk of the movie as it continues from her school life to her professional career. On the other hand, June on AHA also focuses on Anand, played by Arjun Ashokan, a genuine guy who has a sweet spot for June from start to finish. And his story was narrated through a song in the second half of the movie.

June on AHA includes all the elements and the many shades of a simple, middle-class Malayali teenager’s love life. Quite a few scenes were very well written and relatable from beginning to end. Rajisha Vijayan’s strong performance alongside Joju George, who plays her father in the movie is also a major plus point.

Barring the pacing issues here and there, June on AHA is a feel-good film and fits the romantic-drama genre perfectly. Watch it for Rajisha Vijayan’s strong performance and the simplicity of the overall narrative. Watch ‘June on AHA’ here.
