Double Rewind Podcast Episode 4 – The Princess Bride (1987)

On the fourth episode of Double Rewind Stephanie shows Jillian the 1987 classic film The Princess Bride. The movie is about a young boy who is sick one day from school and his grandfather visits him at home. His grandfather begins reading him a story called The Princess Bride about Princess Buttercup and her true love Wesley. Although he is hesitant to listen to “a love story” the action, magic, and adventure wins him over.

Jillian reveals her first reactions of the film and the two discuss how the film compares to other “fairy tale” movies as well as both of their favorite scenes. They also explore the character is Buttercup as either an outdated character is exactly who she was suppose to be. Jillian and Stephanie discuss trivia about the film and some continuity errors throughout. On the next episode Jillian will be having Stephanie watch the 2009 romantic comedy He’s Just Not That Into You.
