Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Review: Subpar & Irredeemable!
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 promised a continuation of its popular horror-comedy franchise, but the film falls flat, missing the mark on nearly every front. Set in a spooky estate in Kolkata, the story follows Rooh Baba as he confronts two vengeful spirits, both claiming to be the infamous Manjulika. However, the film fails to capture the charm, suspense, or humor of its predecessors.

The storyline, written by Aakash Kaushik, feels disjointed and riddled with gaps, making it difficult to stay engaged. Rooh Baba’s character lacks depth, and the motivations of the ghosts are so underdeveloped that they fail to spark any real intrigue or tension through and through. The storytelling is further weakened by a lack of coherence, with characters behaving in confusing and unrealistic ways. This results in scenes that feel forced, with dialogue that often borders on cringe-worthy.
The direction and editing leave much to be desired, lacking the tight, well-paced structure that’s essential for horror-comedy. Instead, the film leans too heavily on overused horror clichés and predictable twists, leaving little room for suspense or surprise. Even the music and background score, which were strong points in earlier installments, are uninspired here, failing to add any atmosphere or tension.

There are a few jokes that land and a brief moment of satisfaction in the climax, but these are not enough to redeem the film. For fans of the franchise, it may offer some nostalgic value, but for most viewers, the film’s shortcomings overshadow any redeeming qualities. If you’re hoping for a satisfying sequel, you might want to skip Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3—it’s a disappointing addition to the franchise that falls short in every way.
