Anukoni Athidhi begins with Dr. Kannan Nair (Fahadh Faasil), an aspiring psychiatrist who is selected to safeguard and monitor the mental asylum run by Dr. Benjamin Diaz (Atul Kulkarni). On his deep investigation, Dr. Nair confronts illicit activities around the asylum and gets dejected with Diaz’s treatment methods.

A significant finding reveals that a patient, Nithya (Sai Pallavi), is being held in a hidden cell, who Dr. Diaz claims to be her daughter. The story runs wild into the mysteries behind the girl, and the loose ends unfold a thrilling drama.

Vivek Thomas has crafted a decent-paced thriller in Anukoni Athidhi with a very concise story that he developed, and P. F. Mathews had conceived the script in the right way. At times, the plot has some hollowness to tie up the characters of Dr. Nair and Nithya, but the end magically upholds the storyline. The songs composed by P. S. Jayhari were melodic, and the magnificent background score by Ghibran was powerful and fit the narrative.

Sai Pallavi astonished the audience with a brilliant performance that out-shadowed Faasil, enacting her role with psychic mannerisms with a clean rendering. Fahadh Faasil delivered an outstanding performance, picturing different shades of the character persona. Atul Kulkarni and Lena lived up to their characters with fine details.

Overall, Anukoni Athidhi on AHA Video sets a fair tempo as a psychological thriller portraying mischievous happenings around the mental asylum and how an unsolicited intervention of an outlander. With a blend of thrilling psychological elements that sifts the life of the girl, this is a perfect watch for having a good adrenaline rush! Watch ‘Anukoni Athidhi’ on AHA Video here.
