Former Miss United Continents to Star in ZERO!

Slated to release during the Christmas weekend, Zero, directed by Aanand L. Rai and starring Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles added yet another credible personality to its cast and this time its the third runner-up in the 2015 Miss United Continents pageant, Sushrii Shreya Mishraa.

As per the media reports, Sushrii has been roped in to play the role of Abhay Deol’s girlfriend. She has already shot for the film and is apparently pretty kicked about her debut. Commenting on the same, Sushrii apart from having only words of praise for her co-star Abhay, went on to gush about the film is perfect and how Mukesh Chabbra’s casting company was the sole reason for her to bag this role.

Farhan Akhtar Squashes All DON 3 Rumors! Says the Sequel Is Not Happening!

Alright, listen up freaks! Yesterday we reported that Farhan Akhtar has finally down the script for 'Don 3' which has been in works for a very long time. The last movie in the franchise came out in 2011 for god sakes, can we get a sequel already?

But, taking to the chaotic online world called Twitter, where people usually moan and cheer for what they want and what they don't want, director Farhan Akhtar had made clear not to spread false rumors about 'Don 3', cause he believes that it's not fair to raise expectations of the film's fanbase via false news. Check out his tweet:

"Request those who conjure up news about #Don3 without any fact checking to please refrain. It is not fair to raise expectations of the films fanbase via false news." - @FarOutAkhtar

So, the film is not happening, at least for now. But, I still believe in Farhan that someday he will officially announce the film when he's ready with the script and the cast. Till then, let's hope for the best!

Farhan Akhtar Has Finally Locked Down the Script for DON 3!

The rebooted 'Don' franchise is the most celebrated not only amongst SRK's fans but also between general audience and ever since 'Don 2', fans have been eagerly waiting for its third installment with Shah Rukh Khan again playing the anti-hero. Though Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani had earlier said that they are working on the script, it is now reported that Farhan has locked the final script of the film.

According to an anonymous report, Farhan Akhtar has apparently locked down the script for the movie and has got an approval from Badshah Khan as well. The report quoted a source saying, “He had bounced the idea off to SRK, who liked it. Farhan had taken a break from acting and channelized all his energy into developing the script for this film of the Don franchise. He has finally locked the script and things are moving in the right direction.”

But, as we reported a few weeks back, Priyanka's character Roma will not be a part of the film as her services will not be needed this time. “The storyline is such that it doesn’t need Priyanka’s character. It’s likely to have a new cast, which will be locked soon," the source added.

The report further reveals that the actor-director will also star in the film, "Farhan will also act in this film. He will play a desi top cop to Shah Rukh’s Don. Since a portion of the film will be set in India, Farhan will be seen donning the policeman’s uniform in the film.”

Expected to go on floors from mid-2019 the film will hit the big screen in 2020.

Deepika Padukone to Replace Priyanka Chopra in 'DON 3'!?

Last week we reported that 'DON 3' is in works and producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are pumped for their upcoming project. Most likely the film's production will commence next year and the producers are finalizing locations in Malaysia, Abu Dhabi and Dubai for the movie.

But, it is now being rumored that a newcomer will replace Priyanka Chopra as the lead actress and also as Don’s love interest. It is also being speculated that 'xXx: Return of Xander Cage ' actress Deepika Padukone is strongly being considered for the role.

Well, it's disheartening to not see Priyanka Chopra as the "Jungli Billi" but Deepika seems to be a much better fit. Director and Producer Farhan Akhtar recently spoke on the sixth anniversary of 'DON 2' and stated the following about the sequel “It will happen sooner than you know as we have started working on the script and the story. I think we need to crack the story as the responsibility is more (to get it right for the third part). With the next film in ‘DON’ franchise, we won’t take that much time, we will make it fast.”

'DON 3' to Start Production Very Soon!

'Don' and 'Don 2' were smash hits back in 2006 and 2011 and fans have been eagerly waiting for the third installment in the franchise as the makers were entirely iffy about making another sequel. But, rumors say that the makers finally started working on the script and are expected to give the final narration to Shah Rukh Khan in the next few months.

A source close to the production said “We have locked the basic idea of the film and shared it with Shah Rukh Khan. The story this time around is set in the Middle East and a major chunk of the film would be shot in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The script is currently being worked on and we plan to go on floors sometime next year.”

Talking about Priyanka Chopra, the source said, “Since the story is set in a different region, it doesn’t warrant her character. We shall decide on the final casting of the film once the final script has been locked.”

When asked if 'Don 3' will be Shah Rukh Khan’s next film after 'Zero', the source said, “The two scripts that he is considering currently include 'Salute' and 'Don 3'. There is a huge possibility of 'Salute' going on floors before 'Don 3'. He shall announce his next film only after finishing the shoot of 'Zero'.”

What do you think guys? Are you excited for 'Don 3'? Comment down below and let us know right NOW!

Not SRK! Katrina to Romance Abhay Deol in 'ZERO'!

'Zero' is scheduled to release on December 21, 2018, and it is the most ambitious projects of the Shah Rukh Khan's career and the film will be made on a high-end technology with an extensive use of VFX. Also Co-Starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma the film will also have a number of cameos. King Khan will be seen playing a diehard fan of Katrina in a double role. But, according to the recent reports, Kaif will not be seen romancing SRK and if rumors are true the actress, who will be playing a superstar, will be seen opposite to Abhay Deol. A source close to the project revealed a leading daily that Abhay will also have a cameo in 'Zero' and will play Kaif’s love interest.

About her role in the film, Katrina had said, “Initially, I was supposed to play myself in Zero. The film was titled Katrina Meri Jaan. There was a different cast on board and Shah Rukh sir wasn’t part of it. Now, it’s a satirical take on an actress.”

While Shah Rukh Khan will be seen essaying the role of a dwarf, Katrina and Anushka will also be playing interesting characters. A source had told a leading daily, “While everyone thinks that only Shah Rukh Khan has a special role in the film, they will be surprised to know that Anushka and Katrina's characters also face various challenges. While everyone knows Katrina plays a diva, nobody knows that she is also an alcoholic in the film. She battles with alcoholism, which affects her life in various ways. Anushka, on the other hand, plays a struggling scientist. The makers are trying to keep these details a secret because they don't want to give out too much information.”

'Salute' Starring SRK to Start Shooting from September!

Although Shah Rukh Khan is not in one of his best forms in the past few years, King Khan is still one of the busiest actors working in B Town today. Though he is currently working with Aanand L Rai for "ZERO", he's been approached by Siddharth Roy Kapoor from UTV Motion Pictures to star in the biopic of astronaut Rakesh Sharma, which is tentatively titled "Salute".

According to a recent report, sources say that he might start shooting for "Salute" from September of this year. Here's the statement, "SRK wants to start shooting in September and continue for two months before he starts promoting "ZERO", which releases on Christmas. After that, he will resume Salute's shoot from January 2019. The film is expected to release next year."

Interestingly, Aamir Khan was first approached for the biopic, but he had to decline because he is busy with "Thugs Of Hindostan" and he himself recommended Shah Rukh Khan’s name to them. WOW!

On the other side, "ZERO" is all set to hit the theatres on 21 December 2018 and will also star Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.

Shah Rukh Khan REJECTED Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Movie Offer!?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been on a roll lately, his last controversial film "Padmaavat" is a major box-office success and the director is very keen to make a movie with SRK although his last three films starred Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. He even offered not one but two films to SRK but the actor refused them both.

As reported by a leading daily, Shah Rukh Khan has turned down Bhansali's films. A source told the daily. "Shah Rukh is not doing Sanjay's film anymore. They had several meetings to discuss the scripts in hand last year, but nothing really worked out. SRK politely turned down the movies that were offered to him."

The source adds, "SLB and SRK are both extremely professional. They don't let work affect their personal equation. They are good friends and they remain so. They have promised to work together on something very soon."

Well, did SRK make a wise decision cause Bhansali is a celebrated director and doing a film with him is definitely a no-brainer. What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments below.

Shah Rukh Khan to Promote ZERO in a Unique Fashion!

Shah Rukh Khan is known to promote his films in a unique manner and now he is planning to do the same for his upcoming December release "ZERO" in which he'll be seen alongside Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.

With Anushka’s "Pari" releasing on Holi, Salman Khan’s "Race 3" on Eid and Aamir Khan’s "Thugs of Hindostan" to hit the screens during Diwali, SRK has apparently planned to promote the film during all these festivals one by one.

A source close to the film said, “SRK wants to make it more of a celebration. Hence, he has decided to post titbits from the film, to commemorate each festival. The film’s official poster hasn’t been unveiled. Even the looks of Katrina Kaif and Anushka have been kept under wraps. So, SRK definitely has some plans for Holi.”

Surprisingly, Salman Khan will have a cameo in "ZERO" and the source further added, “Salman and SRK are buddies and the former even has made a cameo in a song for "ZERO". While the first teaser was just a glimpse of the character, the second one is expected to give an insight into what the film is all about. The VFX team is busy with the post-production work and the entire cast and crew is happy with the way it’s turning out.”

Lastly, the source also said that the final three-minute trailer of the film will be released with Aamir Khan’s film "Thugs of Hindostan" on Diwali 2018. Well, this marketing strategy is something we've never seen before and hopefully, it'll be a major success.

Jab Harry Met Sejal - Movie Review

Verdict - "A Disappointment of Epic Proportions!"

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Jab Harry Met Sejal brings together Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma for the third time in their film career after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan, but this time under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. The chart-topping music was composed by Pritam and K.U. Mohanan is the man behind-the-camera reputed for some stunning cinematography all throughout the film.

The storyline revolves around a lost engagement ring that belongs to Sejal Zaveri (Anushka Sharma), as she and her tour guide Harinder Singh Nehra (Shah Rukh Khan) roam around the popular cities of Europe in search of the misplaced ring which is used as a metaphor in the entire film.

Similar to his earlier films, Jab Harry Met Sejal also has a few analogies that Imtiaz Ali explored before. The storyline being solely based on the two main characters, the concept of "finding yourself" and realizing the "missing link in your life" is something that we've seen many times before. But, before going into the theater, I had my faith in Imtiaz Ali that he can at least keep me invested for the entire duration of the film. Thirty minutes into the movie, I realized that this is going to be a bore-fest and it actually is.

The first half of the film starts off with few funny one-liners and the establishment of the lead characters that are never really justified genuinely. The dreary plot that these characters are being endorsed on is not strong enough to keep me interested for the entirety of the film. It takes needless directions at times and is not even memorable enough for me to say that I'm entertained or remembered a particular scene after the movie. And that's the major drawback of this film which is quite frankly the weakest out of Imtiaz's filmography and also the most tedious film that Shah Rukh Khan has done in years.

Now, I'm a big admirer of Shah Rukh Khan and his film career and I went into this film with an open-mind wanting to like it more than everyone else. But watching him giving his best in every single scene to an already lifeless film made me feel sad for him and for Anushka Sharma who also tried her best to keep the film entertaining with her Gujarati accent and her naïve yet tenacious character.

Overall, Jab Harry Met Sejal felt like a big missed opportunity. Ali had everything in his favor from the cast, music to the fine-looking locales but not an interesting nor entertaining nor significant script to keep the audience member captivated. This film is a disappointment on a huge level!

Raees - Movie Review

Verdict - "A Quality Throwback To The 80's."

Nearly 15 months after that first teaser dropped online, Raees tardily made its way to the movie theaters this week and it surely is the most awaited Shah Rukh Khan movies in recent times. Also starring Mahirah Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in significant roles, controversy implied to be a beloved companion of the film as it was trapped with disputes from the get-go with rumors referencing the role 'Raees' was actually comparable to 80's Gujarat-based gangster and bootlegger Abdul Latif. Nevertheless, with Kaabil accompanying and taking a huge amount of share in the box office after sharing the same release date. Will Raees stand out and prove to be a victor in terms of ratings and box office?

Set in the 1980's and in the state of Gujarat, where selling local alcohol was considered to be a rampant business, Raees (SRK) quickly rises to prominence and power after setting up his own business which was his childhood dream. Eventually, Raees's approach and tactics will instantly attract the eye of the district's Superintendent of Police Jaideep Ambalal Majmudar (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) who deliberately focuses on arresting Raees and hopefully put an end to the corruption in the state. Will he succeed or will Raees prove to be an unstoppable force?

With the combination of a versed overstuffed storyline, the screenplay of this film was fast paced and was overall very well written. The lead characters were given ample time to progress with profound interactive scenes and as a result, during the climax, we were able to fend for their outlook and notion. Also, this film had few great dialogues throughout its two-hour runtime and it appeared that SRK and Nawaz had a great time delivering the one-liners.

Advancing to the performances in the film, Shah Rukh Khan was indeed magnificent with his portrayal as an anti-hero. His appealing charisma, bravura and the splendor that he brought to the screen were absolutely captivating to watch for the duration of the film. Nawazuddin Siddiqui was totally on a league of his own and stood out as a great counterpart to SRK, as their interactive scenes were few of the best moments in the entire film.

Overall, lumped together with an obsolete recycled storyline and a supremely written screenplay and dialogue. Raees is an attractively shot, remarkably acted, decently written and directed throwback to the 80's which should be an enjoyable watch for a normal audience member in the movie theater.

Fan - Movie Review

Verdict - "A Misused Opportunity!"

When love turns into rage and when your greatest admirer becomes your ultimate enemy and tries to annihilate the name and fame you've acquired through hard work and determination, will you wipe out his existence or how would you react if you're a global superstar who is the center of a target for a psychopathic fan.

Gaurav Chandna (Shah Rukh Khan), a mid 20-year-old from Delhi is a worshipper and a devotee of his idol Aryan Khanna who is an eminent Bollywood superstar. After winning his first award for acting in a local talent competition, Gaurav decides to travel to Mumbai to visit Aryan and present his recently won souvenir as a gesture to thank his hero on his birthday. But things change rapidly when Gaurav traps himself into a deadly situation that not only annoys Aryan but also turns out to be a crime. What did he do? A murder? Well!

Discarding the two main pleasurable aspects of a film music and comedy, the story becomes the frontrunner and the presentation should be remarkable and accurate at the same time. When the main theatrical trailer released online it seemed that we're up for something exhilarating and intriguing and moreover it felt like a sure shot success in the action-drama category.

But, here's my concern, the objective of the entire film, the reason Gaurav was infuriated towards Aryan was a bit ridiculous. It felt a lot convenient and didn't justify the action that took place in the second half. I understand the emotion behind it, but the screenwriters could've considered a better idea to exploit the riveting premise.

And furthermore, they're a little too many plot holes in the second half of the film where the scenes defaulted without logic, authenticity and emotion. Sure, watching SRK chase SRK was sure-shot entertaining but if you take a moment to think about the whole thing it sure will feel a bit asinine.

Also, here's another example of why this movie felt transparent for me, the climax scene when the two characters talk to each other, that scene was supposed split your heart with affection and sentiment, but instead we get a dry impassive drama that didn't affect me emotionally.

But, on the positive side, we finally get to see the Shah Rukh Khan we've been missing for almost three years now. His performances in the last few movies felt more synthetic and artificial for me. But in Fan, he's back with his charm and the alluring screen presence that he brings to the film. His body language, facial expressions, and dynamic that he brought to these two characters felt natural and didn't seem that he was acting in front of the camera. This performance will be remembered  and in the end, it's always delightful to watch SRK giving his best in every scene.

Nevertheless, this film had everything properly established, a great actor, a fascinating premise, and a talented director. But, the writers had misused the opportunity to perpetuate the storyline with a gripping screenplay and scenes that were emotional and believable. SRK was at his best during the entire film but it's just not enough for me to recommend you guys to go watch this film if you're not a fan of the superstar. Believe me, as a big fan of SRK I wanted to give this movie a good grade, but maybe I just have to wait till Raees releases.

Dilwale - Movie Review

Verdict - "Underwhelming!"

Going into this movie, I'm completely aware of the content I'm getting from a Rohit Shetty film. Flying cars, over-the-top action, and hilarious comedic scenes. Did I get these aspects from Dilwale? Sure! On top of everything, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's alluring screen presence added a lot more flavor to the film. But, it all comes down to this, is the movie any good? Branded for directing commercially successful and critically destroyed movies, did Rohit Shetty make a full-fledged unique entertainer? Well! Here are my thoughts.

The movie tells the story of two adoring brothers, Raj (Shah Rukh Khan) and Veer (Varun Dhawan) who tremendously love each other. As the storyline advances, we're introduced to the Raj's past, where he meets and falls in love with Meera (Kajol), but things never go as anticipated and Raj had to face few surprising consequences. What are they?

Erratic with its screenplay, the first fifteen minutes itself explained to me that this film will not be completely impressive. Largely because of the screenplay that took quite a few bumps throughout the entire runtime. They're few aspects (like the comedic scenes) that I liked about the film and many others that I just didn't care.

Also, this movie was awfully presented, it honestly felt like the actors were just performing with no emotional connection or any intensity between them. As I come back to the writing part of the film, if the characters were given enough time to develop with few engaging and significant scenes, this movie would've been a lot better.

Advancing to the compelling aspects of the film, I thoroughly enjoyed the comedic scenes, the timing and delivery were precise and sharp, as a result, the humor was seamlessly conveyed. Moreover, I should credit Rohit Shetty and his team for splendidly filming few car chase sequences that involved a lot of practice and hard work.

The appealing chemistry between SRK and Kajol was quite matchless and they're quoted as one of the best on-screen couples for a reason. But, in Dilwale, I didn't feel that pleasing allure between them. Their love/romantic scenes were totally rushed and felt underwhelming. As a fan, I felt that the on-screen magic didn't work out. And the performances were satisfying from the entire cast, Varun Dhawan was amusing with his goofy character and I have no complaints about Kriti Sanon. However, Johnny Lever stole the entire movie and his performance was priceless.

Overall, Dilwale failed to impress me as a complete film, I enjoyed parts of it and that's not a positive sign for a film with towering expectations. It is certainly watchable once for few entertaining aspects. But, in the end, this is not what I expected from an immense multi-starrer.

Happy New Year - Movie Review

Verdict - "Happy New Year is Amusing. That is All! Yet Another Guilty Movie Pleasure."

There's one miserable fact about all the popular and vaunted movies these days, we do find a deficiency in their superiority and quality. Sounds indignant right? But that's how I felt while watching Happy New Year. Don't get me wrong, it's completely likable but is it worth the wait? No!

Without getting much into detail, the story is about six so called "losers" executing an utterly impossible heist which is intertwined with a dance competition in which they should participate to complete the mission. Pretty generic right?

It's all about entertainment and that's the only redeeming factor about Happy New Year. The movie never stops to amuse, I found myself laughing hard during the movie, but it will probably diminish after a while. I'm not sure that you will enjoy the humour in a second watch, it just evaporates.

Now that I got your attention, here are few negative attributes of the movie, mainly the conventional screenplay, you can just sit back promptly guess where the movie is going and the movie annex at the exact same spot that you estimated previously. The movie sets up these introductions and significant scenes from time to time and it comes off with absolutely no surprise.

Also the movie is three hours long. Why? Is it a tricky story to narrate? Absolutely not! In fact there's nothing innovative in the movie to explain. The movie was precise and particular and I don't want that to happen. And in order to buoy up the actual (predictable) climax, the movie was filled with numerous unwanted and outlandish scenes that felt unneccesary.

Let me explain how ludicrous the writing and screenplay was in the movie, without spoiling anything, I don't mind a movie tossing a reference once or twice in the movie, but Happy New Year exceeds the limitations and after a good amount of time, it just felt inferior to me. Is there nothing more to abide, which can cheer up the audience? This shows that the movie was completely misplaced in the writing department.

Apart from the writing department, the technical department did a remarkable job in the movie. The cinematography by Manush Nandan was exquisite, I do understand that setting up these ostentatious sets and panoramas is a tough call (and I appreciate the production team for that) but capturing them accurately and perfectly is a difficult task and few scenes in the movie were completely breathtaking that you just can't stop wink your eye.

Regarding the major plot point about the movie, which was "dance". It was not that remarkable and it really felt silly after few scenes. If being funny and casual is the concealed aspect of this attribute then I'm okay with it and it didn't feel that way. But, nonetheless as I stated before, it looked dazzling and that's a significant commercial trait about the movie.

Before I give you my take on the performances in the movie. Let me explain my little concern about the characters in the movie. I did enjoy them, but do they make an impression deep inside our heart? Mainly the character of Charlie, which was the most inferior character among the bunch. What do you think?

The performances in the movie were great when you take them as an entertaining aspect. Abhishek Bachchan was impressive and astonishes us with his timing and body language. Sonu Sood and Boman Irani's charisma added enough balance to the movie. Vivaan Shah has nothing much to impress in the movie. Deepika looks stunning and enacted well as the female lead of the movie, but her character was a bit affronted in few sequences.

Shah Rukh Khan was completely inapt in the movie, his character was a bit underwhelming and I didn't really care about his emotional part in the movie. He was a performer and it was great watching him flaunt his abs and his magnifying persona, but does he leave a mark?

To conclude, Happy New Year is a complete gulity pleasure for me, where I can get entertained with the nonsensical things happening around me. The movie will be cherished by commercial audience and will probably break all the box-office records. But I can fairly tell you that the comedic aspect is the only saving grace about the movie and if that's your jam, go watch the movie without any hesitation.
