Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon to Reunite for Baaghi 3!?

Baaghi 2 took the box-office by storm grossing over 130 crores domestically. That's a lot! Days before the release of Baaghi 2, Sajid Nadiadwala announced the third film in the franchise as he is very much certain that the second film is going to do massive at the B.O.

However, Tiger's real-life girlfriend Disha Patani, will not be seen in the third movie (cause, unfortunately, her character died). Mumbai Mirror reports that the makers of Baaghi 3 are on the lookout for a fresh face and Kriti Sanon is topping their priority chart, who debuted in Bollywood with Tiger in Heropanti.

Talking about the abrupt announcement of Baaghi 3, Nadiadwala told the Times of India, "Writing of Baaghi 3 is still in process and within a month, we will come to know and then we will announce it. Actually, I announced it before the trailer of Baaghi 2 to my team. I wanted to give confidence before releasing Baaghi 2 to the director and the whole acting team, and I am sure that the audience will like Baaghi 2 and help us to make part three."

Kartik Aaryan to Star Opposite Kriti Sanon in His Next!?

Fresh off from the success of his latest blockbuster film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, multiple offers have been landing for the talented actor Kartik Aaryan. According to latest sources, the actor will now be seen opposite Kriti Sanon in a Dinesh Vijan produced film. If insiders are to be believed Kartik has given his nod to Vijan’s film and also signed on the dotted lines but the female lead is yet to be decided. Kriti Sanon’s name is making the most noise to be paired opposite Kartik.

The untitled project is said to be a romantic comedy and will be directed by cinematographer-cum-director, Laxman Utekar. In the past, Utekar has cinematographed movies like Dear Zindagi, English Vinglish, and Tevar and has also been director of photography for Hindi Medium and Blue. He has also directed two Marathi films, namely, Lalbaugchi Rani and Tapaal.

Kriti is also seen in Dinesh Vijan's directorial Raabta which is one of the worst movies of last year. So, it should be interesting if she accepts to do another film.

Disha Patani to Replace Kriti Sanon in Mohit Sur's Upcoming Film!?

As we all know, Mohit Suri is planning a film with Aditya Roy Kapur and 'Raabta' fame Kriti Sanon is rumored as the lead actress. But, as per the recent reports, it seems Disha Patani is all set to replace the Raabta actor in the film.

According to a report by DNA, Suri had approached Sanon in the first place but her dates for this film clashed with those allotted for Housefull 4. Suri reportedly didn't intend to suspend his schedule and hence considered Patani for the same role.

The DNA report also suggests that sources within the industry claim that a confirmation regarding this development will be out soon (in about a week) as Patani gives her nod to do the film. The film is reportedly a love triangle. While Aditya and Patani (if she accepts the offer) are two characters in the film, another male lead will also be roped in.

Kriti Sanon, who debuted in Tollywood in Mahesh Babu starrer '1 Nenokkadine' is raiding Bollywood by storm with her superior acting skill and also with sensuous looks. The news is yet to be confirmed but noted trade analyst, Ramesh Bala, confirmed the news on Twitter, captioning, "@akshaykumar - @kritisanon - Dir #SajidKhan's #Housefull4 shoot to start in June. It will be #Diwali2019 release."

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Sajid Khan, the costliest comedy film ever will star Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh and Bobby Deol as the male leads. With Kriti Sanon now being rumored, we have to wait and see who the other two female leads will be.

Ashutosh Gowariker's New Film 'Panipat' Announced!

After tasting an enormous failure with 'Mohenjo Daro', director Ashutosh Gowariker who is known for his successful films like 'Jodhaa Akbar' and 'Devdas' is coming back with yet another period film that deals with the 'The Battle of Panipat’. Titled, 'Panipat – The Great Betrayal', the film will star Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon in the lead cast and is based on the third battle of Panipat which took place on 14 January 1761 at Panipat between a northern expeditionary force of the Maratha Empire and invading forces of the King of Afghanistan. The epic period drama will pay a tribute to the valor of Maratha warriors.

Talking about working with Sanjay, Ashutosh said, "I shared screen space with Sanjay in Naam (1986), which was a memorable co-acting experience. It will be great to direct such a versatile and talented actor."

About Arjun, Ashutosh continued, "What impresses me most about Arjun, apart from his fine performances, is his dynamism. He had played double roles twice (Aurangzeb, 2013 and Mubarakan 2017), and has portrayed an action hero as well as a lover boy."

When it comes to the female lead Kriti, Ashutosh added, "I needed someone who is beautiful and a good performer. The eclectic combination of these three is a first for me, and I look forward to this exciting journey with them."

Produced by Ashutosh Gowariker Productions and Vision World Films, 'Panipat - The Great Betrayal' is scheduled to release on December 6, 2019.

Kriti Sanon to Star as the Lead in 'Ek Villain 2'!?

Although the majority of the movie critics slammed "Ek Villain" with negative reviews, the movie is undeniably a box-office success and that's all that matters. Now, the makers of the film Balaji Motion Pictures are very keen to make a sequel with Sidharth Malhotra remaining as the male lead, but, we might not see Shraddha Kapoor coming back.

As per latest reports from the film city, the producers are very keen to cast the New Delhi bombshell Kriti Sanon as the female lead. This comes off as a surprise cause Kriti is relatively new to Bollywood and is yet to star in a major successful movie.

Here's a statement from an anonymous source, "Though Kriti Sanon's "Raabta" didn't do anything great for her; the actress was appreciated for her work in "Bareilly Ki Barfi" that has turned the favor on her side. Same goes for Sidharth. His last few films like "Baar Baar Dekho" and "A Gentleman" tanked at the box-office but after Ittefaq, many filmmakers are said to have thought of approaching him. Also, Sidharth and Sanon have not been paired as yet so few of the makers are very keen on casting them together in a film."

Kriti is busy shooting for "Arjun Patiala" opposite Diljit Dosanjh and hopefully, we'll see her star in "Ek Villain 2".

Bareilly Ki Barfi & Shubh Mangal Savdhan - Movie Reviews

Ayushmann Khurrana has been the success story of Bollywood for the past one month, his latest two films Bareilly Ki Barfi and Shubh Mangal Savdhan were surprisingly commercially successful at the box-office and this proves and restores the faith that smaller films with low-budget can and will be successful at the box-office when delivered with an entertaining premise and enjoyable acting performances.

Now, I know that it's been a while since the movies were released. So I'm gonna go ahead do a doubleheader, give my overall thoughts on both the films and see how this format pans out!

Bareilly Ki Barfi Overall Thoughts:

Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, I was quite frankly skeptical going into this movie, I heard mixed reactions about it, few people liked it and few didn't. So, my expectations were pretty low when I walked into the movie theatre. And to my surprise, I found myself enjoying the film from the get-go. Although, the film did not have the finest written screenplays that had few pacing issues here and there. The storyline was compelling/entertaining enough to keep me interested. The comedic sequences were on point, the relationship between the characters was well-developed and the overall performances were fun to watch. But, the highlight of the film has to be Rajkummar Rao and his performance as an innocent and dapper looking dude who kept stealing the show every time he's on-screen especially during the second half. Overall, Bareilly Ki Barfi often had few hiccups but it's delightful enough for you to give it a shot!

Shubh Mangal Savdhan Overall Thoughts:

Directed by R.S. Prasanna, Shubh Mangal Savdhan is the most trending movie of 2017 and the box office results ultimately tell the story, cause they're enormous. Set in New Delhi, the film is an official remake of a Tamil film 'Kalyana Samayal Saadham' and the storyline is about a soon-to-be-married couple Mudit and Sugandha and their attempt to overcome many disputes especially Mudit's sex-related issue. Now, the comedic elements in this film were amazing, the jokes were on-point and the film was a laugh riot throughout its runtime. But, the storyline of the film quickly faded out and became lackluster, at that point although it's entertaining, it reached an alarming level and felt that it's stretched-out too far. The performances were great, the chemistry between Ayushmann and Bhumi Pednekar worked really well and they're both entertaining to watch. Overall, SMS is a feel-good film with a lot of laughs that will keep you entertained and is also worth a shot!

Raabta - Movie Review

Verdict - "Garbage!"

The tagline of the film says it all. From the past life to the present and from Bollywood to Tollywood, "Everything is Connected" in the film Raabta as it's a soft reboot of the hit 2009 Telugu film "Magadheera" directed by Baahubali fame SS Rajamouli. What's more frustrating about the film is that it didn't even take advantage of the adapted storyline and recreated a tedious narrative muddled up with mundane scenes, mediocre music, and bad comedy.

Set in the beautiful continent of Europe, Shiv (Sushant Singh Rajput) randomly meets Saira (Kriti Sanon) and they both discover that they have something special (in terms of feelings) between them. After spending a night together, Saira breaks up with her boyfriend and advances her (love) relationship with Shiv. Subsequently, when Shiv was out-of-town for a week, Saira joins on a dinner date with Zakir (Jim Sarbh) whom she previously met and after a round of drinks, Saira obviously goes unconscious and Zakir carts her to his private mansion as he firmly believes that they're both connected in their earlier life.

Although SSR and Kriti Sanon looked endearing together as a couple, their dreary characters were too hard to root for the entirety of the film. Certain aspects like a compelling storyline, notable scenes, relatable characters will play a significant part in a film's success and writers Siddharth-Garima failed to deliver in these preceding aspects as I failed to recollect the film instantly after its conclusion.

Overall, I'm not entirely sure about how the studio spent nearly 60 crores to produce such a garbage film and how exactly did Dinesh Vijan convince every actor (especially Rajkummar Rao) in the film to clear their schedule and work on his film. Honestly, Bollywood should stop creating this trend of remaking/recycling popular films and have to focus more on making good original films.

Dilwale - Movie Review

Verdict - "Underwhelming!"

Going into this movie, I'm completely aware of the content I'm getting from a Rohit Shetty film. Flying cars, over-the-top action, and hilarious comedic scenes. Did I get these aspects from Dilwale? Sure! On top of everything, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's alluring screen presence added a lot more flavor to the film. But, it all comes down to this, is the movie any good? Branded for directing commercially successful and critically destroyed movies, did Rohit Shetty make a full-fledged unique entertainer? Well! Here are my thoughts.

The movie tells the story of two adoring brothers, Raj (Shah Rukh Khan) and Veer (Varun Dhawan) who tremendously love each other. As the storyline advances, we're introduced to the Raj's past, where he meets and falls in love with Meera (Kajol), but things never go as anticipated and Raj had to face few surprising consequences. What are they?

Erratic with its screenplay, the first fifteen minutes itself explained to me that this film will not be completely impressive. Largely because of the screenplay that took quite a few bumps throughout the entire runtime. They're few aspects (like the comedic scenes) that I liked about the film and many others that I just didn't care.

Also, this movie was awfully presented, it honestly felt like the actors were just performing with no emotional connection or any intensity between them. As I come back to the writing part of the film, if the characters were given enough time to develop with few engaging and significant scenes, this movie would've been a lot better.

Advancing to the compelling aspects of the film, I thoroughly enjoyed the comedic scenes, the timing and delivery were precise and sharp, as a result, the humor was seamlessly conveyed. Moreover, I should credit Rohit Shetty and his team for splendidly filming few car chase sequences that involved a lot of practice and hard work.

The appealing chemistry between SRK and Kajol was quite matchless and they're quoted as one of the best on-screen couples for a reason. But, in Dilwale, I didn't feel that pleasing allure between them. Their love/romantic scenes were totally rushed and felt underwhelming. As a fan, I felt that the on-screen magic didn't work out. And the performances were satisfying from the entire cast, Varun Dhawan was amusing with his goofy character and I have no complaints about Kriti Sanon. However, Johnny Lever stole the entire movie and his performance was priceless.

Overall, Dilwale failed to impress me as a complete film, I enjoyed parts of it and that's not a positive sign for a film with towering expectations. It is certainly watchable once for few entertaining aspects. But, in the end, this is not what I expected from an immense multi-starrer.
