Meesaya Murukku – Movie Review

Verdict: “Fun-filled, breezy Rom-Com”

Adhi narrates how he, along with his childhood friend Jeeva, went on to become music sensation and pioneer in Indian Hip Hop and established a brand named “Hip Hop Tamizha” after facing lots of insults, disappointment, and struggle. The film is a mixture of fiction and some chapters of the duos life.
Adhi, being the story and dialogue writer for the movie has come up with a perfect script with right elements needed for a commercial film. He gives us many nostalgic moments through the college scenes and the harsh reality faced by a middle-class teenager with passion and dreams.

Vivekh as Adhi’s father gives a flawless performance. ‘Smile Settai” RJ Vigneshkanth as Jeeva steals the show. Along with Adhi, the duos are smart and witty in their act.

Songs and Background score by Hip Hop Tamizha blends with the film and is flawless for a musical film. The film doesn’t look like a debut for Hip Hop Tamizha, as they have handled it so maturely in technical aspects with not so big flaws to mention.

Overall, Meesaya Murukku is a light hearted film, showing the pains faced by Hip Hop Tamizha Adhi & Jeeva before they rose to fame, also takes us back to our college days and a trip down our memory lane.
