Instant Movie Review #24 (Kakka Muttai)

Manikandan's - "Kakka Muttai"

Positives:
1.    Story
2.    Screenplay and Dialogues
3.    Performances from the Kids
4.    Direction

Plot: The plot is about two brothers known as Chinna Kakka Muttai and Periya Kakka Muttai and their desire to eat Pizza in an outlet nearby their slum.

The kids make up their living by stealing coal in a railway yard and are raised by their mother and grandmother since their father is in the jail.

Analysis: With a simple story and a well written elegant plot, debutant Manikandan gives a light-hearted movie which leaves a lasting impression in us.

The director had filmed the movie in such a way by beautifully illustrating the life of slum dwellers through the lead casts and explains what globalization has to do with poor people. With a crisp narration of 110 minutes, Kakka Muttai gives the satisfaction of watching a film of international standard.

Verdict: Kakka Muttai is surely a must watch movie. Such a flamboyant movie isn’t to be missed and you’re sure to leave the theatre premises with a smile on your face.

My Rating: 4/5
Grade: A (The best one around!)
