John Abraham in Talks with Akshay Kumar for 'Garam Masala 2'!?

'Garam Masala' starring Akshay Kumar and John Abraham was a huge hit back in 2005 where Akshay won a Filmfare Award for his splendid performance and John was equally appreciated for his promising efforts. The duo went on to make 'Desi Boyz' (2011) and 'Housefull 2' (2012) together which are successful at the box-office. Years past, now we might be getting a sequel for 'Garam Masala' as John Abraham who is promoting his upcoming film 'Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran' told a leading tabloid that he is in constant talks with Akshay for the remake of their cult comedy film.

Talking about the Garam Masala sequel, he said, "I would love to do some fun films. Also, I love Akshay and enjoy working with him. In fact, I spoke to him the other day, and he said, ‘Let’s do something together’. We always have a burning desire to work together as we are very alike as human beings. As for Garam Masala 2, Akshay and I have been talking about it and I think that’d be great and a lot of fun. The storyline can be that 10 years later, there are more than three air hostesses (laughs). It will be fun but you have to make those fun films with people you have fun with. Even films such as Desi Boyz (2011) and Dishoom (2016) can be made into sequels as they have great potential."

Well, we just have to wait and see, comedy sequels do well at the box-office and planning a sequel is not a bad choice at all.

Jyothika to Star in the Tamil Remake of 'Tumhari Sulu'!

Like it or not, Tumhari Sulu starring Vidya Balan and Manav Kaul is a commercially successful film garnering over 50 crores globally as the majority of the audience were entertained by Balan's remarkable performance and the amusing tone of the overall film.

There have been a couple of rumors floating around in the past two days that a Tamil remake is in works and few producers were very keen to present the hilarious drama to the Tamil audience. But, fast forward to today it's been officially confirmed now by Film Pundit Taran Adarsh on Twitter that superstar Jyothika Saravanan will be portraying the role of Sulu in Tamil and the remake is expected to hit the floors for production very soon.

On bagging the project, Jyothika, according to Times of India, said in a statement: “I'm a big Vidya (Balan) fan. I love her voice and command over Hindi, which is rare in Bollywood today. I’ve watched every Vidya film, and Tumhari Sulu, in my opinion, is her most lovable work. I feel honored to be stepping into her shoes. Kudos to the producers and to director Suresh (Triveni) for making such a lively, honest, real and feel-good film. Tumhari Sulu is a hugely special film for me and I wish Jyotika all the best in spreading the Sulu love.”

As per the casting choice, I should say that Jyothika is a perfect fit for the role and I'm sure that she will knock it out the park with her performance. Radha Mohan as the director is also an interesting choice as his earlier films like 'Abhiyum Naanum' and 'Gaganam' / 'Payanam' were critically acclaimed dramas as he, in my opinion, is also the perfect guy for the job. Let's wish the film will be a grand success and hopefully, it will be dubbed in Telugu as well.

Pooja Bhatt to Direct 'Sadak 2' with Alia Bhatt as the Lead!?

1991 was a celebrated year in the Bhatt house-hold cause Mahesh Bhatt's directorial 'Sadak' starring Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt was one of the critically appreciated and commercially successful films. As usual, when people like a certain movie to death they demand a sequel and sometimes they might have to wait for 27 years as a sequel to 'Sadak' is now being planned with Alia Bhatt as the female lead and her step-sister Pooja Bhatt in the director's chair. Isn't that weird!?

Here are few rumored reports, Mahesh Bhatt is been requested by Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt to develop a script for the sequel for an unknown reason and after completing the script, Mr. Bhatt revealed that the film focus on the modern-day scenario where the distinction between the house and the ‘Sadak’ is fast disappearing. Bhatt had also stated that the script of Sadak 2 would make people believe in love at a time when it’s very easy to walk out of a relationship.

Jeet Ganguly is already been finalized to helm the music for the film and an official announcement is expected in the upcoming weeks.

Nevertheless, Alia Bhatt is currently busy shooting for Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' in Bulgaria as her schedule is packed for this year also with Meghna Gulzar’s 'Raazi', followed by Zoya Akhtar’s 'Gully Boy' opposite 'Padmaavat' star Ranveer Singh.

Ash and Abhishek to Star in a Cop Film!?

Bollywood's favorite couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were last seen together in Mani Ratnam's 'Raavan' back in the glory days of 2010. Although the power couple was offered many exciting offers by numerous producers, we never get to see them star together again for 8 years. However, the wait might be over and their fans wishes might actually come true.

The duo was reportedly offered a cop film and reports suggested that Aishwarya requested few changes in the script. Here's a statement from an anonymous source:

“An official announcement in this regard will be made soon. Shailesh is very keen on the project — the story is about cops based in Uttar Pradesh, who are also married to each other. It is a very intense film; there is a new director who will be helming the film. An announcement will be made very soon on the project.”

Talking about the celebrity couple, the source adds:

“Ash is choosy about her projects. She had some issues with the script and wanted a few changes, which had not happened. Meanwhile, she signed another film (the remake of 'Raat Aur Din'). Abhishek also took up a few movies. Since the whole idea was to get Abhi and Ash together on screen, once she backed out, he too found the whole thing pointless. There were budget issues as well.”

Hopefully, everything goes as planned cause who's not excited to see Ash and Abhi back together? If you're one of them who is not excited please comment down below. We'll have a chat!

Amy Jackson to Have a Cameo in 'Saaho'!?

'Baahubali' franchise is not only a massive success for Tollywood, S.S. Rajamouli but it also garnered huge popularity to the lead and Young Rebel Star Prabhas who is a well-known nationwide name now. With great success comes great responsibilities and the Rebel Star's next film 'Saaho' with new and upcoming director Sujeeth (Run Raja Run fame) is one of the most anticipated movies of this year.

We already knew that the 'Half Girlfriend' and 'ABCD 2' star Shraddha Kapoor will be portraying the female lead character in the film and now, we've been hearing huge rumors that the irresistible British bombshell Amy Jackson will be seen gracing us with a curious cameo appearance. Although, the details of her role are not yet revealed, it is confirmed by few sources that she will add an important contribution to the film.

Amy is now currently busy shooting for her American TV show, 'Supergirl' and will also be seen in Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar's '2.0' as the female lead which is touted to release later this year.

Made with an enormous budget of 200 crores 'Saaho' is collectively produced by Vamsi-Pramod under the banner of UV Creations who were huge admirers of Prabhas for a long time. The cast also includes prominent Bollywood stars like Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, Jackie Shroff, Mahesh Manjrekar and Tinu Anand who will be seen in supporting roles.

'Saaho' will be presented as an incredibly appealing action-thriller and is rumored to release later this year in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages.

Sara Ali Khan to Romance Ranveer in 'Simmba'!?

Simmba is an upcoming film starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Rohit Shetty and we all are well aware that Rohit is been searching for a suitable actress as the female lead for the film. Now, if rumors are true, the filmmaker found Ranveer’s heroine in Sara Ali Khan.

Sara Ali Khan (daughter of Saif Ali Khan) is yet to debut in Bollywood and her upcoming film 'Kedarnath' is creating buzz lately primarily because of the alterations between the director and the producers. Another actress considered for the role is Jahnvi Kapoor, who is yet another star kid.

Sources claim that Sara is selected as a consequence of the entire 'Kedarnath' controversy. We hear that her parents Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan were upset with the recent turn of events and Kareena joined Saif in putting a good word for Sara to film's producer Karan Johar, who basically cannot decline their request and went on to convince director Rohit Shetty to sign Sara for 'Simmba'.

Nevertheless, here's a fact, 'Simmba' is the remake of the super-hit Tollywood film 'Temper' starring N.T.R Jr. and Kajal Aggarwal that deals with a social message towards women empowerment.

Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety - Honest Movie Review

Verdict - "A Bumpy Ride!"

Directed by Luv Ranjan who presented us with two of the funniest comedies in the past few years, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 1 and 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety stars Ranjan's staple actors Kartik Aaryan, Sunny Singh, and Nushrat Bharucha in the lead roles and is collectively produced by both T-Series and Luv Films.

Kicking off with the plot, Sonu (Kartik Aaryan) and Titu (Sunny Singh) are BFF's who run a business and enjoy every moment of their life together. After going through a break-up, Titu decides to tie the knot to an uptown, all-in-all ideal nice girl Sweety (Nushrat Bharucha) who seems to like Titu at her first sight. But, Sonu doubts Sweety's polite and cordial nature, as he believes that no one can be utterly flawless in this day and age. Is there any legitimacy in Sonu's conspiracies? or Is Sweety actually a wonderful human being?

Walking into this film if you're expecting ridiculous humor similar to Pyaar Ka Punchnama 1 and 2, then this film will disappoint you a bit. Although they're few laugh-out-loud moments followed by notable comedic sequences, it is not a nonstop comedy where every comic bit works. It had a few bumps, but the breezy pace keeps the film moving without hanging onto a mundane narration.

Before moving onto the negatives, I have to give props to the production design team and the cinematographer as the film looked gorgeous and extravagant with a moderate production budget of 30 crores. Also, the performances from the lead cast Karthik, Sunny, and Nushrat were decent enough as they're enjoyable as a trio who can carry the film throughout the runtime.

Here's the problem, there's a twist involved with a particular character which was significant for the film to move on, but, it didn't come off as a surprise to me and it did miss an essential element which was the motivation. The reason behind the betrayal is something that needs an explanation and the filmmaker failed to do it. Also, the climax of the film tries to get a bit too poignant which ultimately didn't work as expected only because of the lack of character development.

On the whole, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety is not a bad film, it will entertain you with few funny laughs, peppy music, and enjoyable performances but as an overall film, it failed in few aspects which are crucial. Give it a shot this weekend or at least consider watching when it eventually debuts on Amazon Prime.

Jacqueline Fernandez to Star as the Lead in 'Kick 2'!

Not long ago, we reported that Amy Jackson (Singh is Bliing fame) is all set to romance Salman Khan in 'Kick 2'. But squashing all the flying rumors, the producer of the film Sajid Nadiadwala confirmed to a leading news daily that the Sri Lankan beauty will be a part of the sequel which marks the third collaboration between her and Salman Khan after 'Kick' and the upcoming film 'Race 3'.

Recently, the producer spoke to a leading daily and stated the following:

"I've been currently writing the script for a year now. As a producer I'm busy with different films, the writing took some time and I'm planning to restart the writing process and the film should roll out next year."

Speaking about Jacqueline Fernandez, Sajid Nadiadwala simply said:

"Salman Khan was joking when he said that Jacqueline would be replaced and Jacqueline's character was present in the current script but it's too early to talk about it."

On the other side, Salman and Jacky wrapped the shooting schedule of the Bangkok part as the film is expected to release this Eid.

Catherine Tresa to Join Kajal in B. Sreenivas' Upcoming Film!

Earlier this month we reported that the South Indian Mega Actress Kajal Aggarwal decided to star opposite Bellamkonda Sreenivas (who is yet to deliver a major hit) in his upcoming film. Rumor has it that Kajal allegedly demanded a hefty remuneration that shocked the producers of the film.

Now, we've been hearing flying rumors that the 28-year old elegant beauty Catherine Tresa is been considered to fill in the shoes as the second actress of the film which is should be very interesting cause both Kajal and Catherine were both seen together previously in Rana Daggubati's "Nene Raju Nene Mantri" last year.

As we all saw, Kajal was only limited to fine-looking sarees in NRNM, but in the Bellamkonda starrer, we will see her playing an urban chic and it should be very exciting watching her compete opposite Catherine in the glamour department.

As expected, Catherine was also offered a huge amount to romance Bellamkonda Sreenivas which is lately becoming a running trend as all the previous heroines like Samantha Akkineni, Rakul Preet Singh, Pooja Hegde and Tamannaah were gifted a great deal of cash to star opposite the pristine actor.

Black Panther - Honest Movie Review

Verdict - "The Real Deal!"

Debuting at 235 million dollars on a four-day weekend, Black Panther had the biggest opening weekend in February, biggest non-sequel opening weekend, biggest solo superhero launch of all time, biggest pre-summer opening weekend, second biggest comic book superhero opening weekend and the fifth biggest opening weekends of all time. Here's an interesting comparison, Justice League made 228 million dollars on its overall domestic box-office run and it only took four days for Black Panther to beat that record. That's a hard punch in the gut for all DC fans (including me), but that's the reality and a well-deserved accolade for a well-made film.

After the sudden demise of his father and T'Chaka (John Kani / Atandwa Kani), the administration decides to crown T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) as the new King of Wakanda and the storyline advances with T'Challa understanding and amending his responsibilities until he comes across Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) who not only challenges the throne but also questions the perspectives and principles that Wakanda upholds.

From time to time, I always address the importance of character work in a film especially if it's a stand-alone superhero film. One of the main reasons why Black Panther is such a great film is because of the well-developed and appealing characters. Let's start with T'Challa, an amateur and a King stuck in dilemma or puzzled in a tight spot to choose what's right and not right, his character was incredibly written so that the emotional connection was excellently established. Advancing to Erik Killmonger, another rightful heir to the throne, his intentions very plain, simple and very understandable. His character had a much-needed depth and his overall motives were one of the reasons why he's one of the best Marvel villains we've seen in a very long time.

Not only the lead characters but Nakia played by Lupita Nyong'o, Okoye played by Danai Gurira and Shuri played Letitia Wright everyone had an important role in the film which was inspiring and entertaining to watch. Also, great performances will always fortify the well-written characters and both the leads Boseman and Jordan were remarkable in their respective roles. Jordan especially was very charismatic and fit perfectly as the anti-hero with bad-ass abilities.

On the other side, the cinematography and the production design were incredible, the film looked vibrant, stylish and very exquisite. The background music was another positive, it added a unique authentic feel to the film especially with the percussions which sounded amazing.

Ending with the negatives, this film was definitely not flawless, it had few issues primarily with the villain and his overall presence which was definitely limited. I hoped to see more of Killmonger as he was barely present in the first one and a half hour and then shows up in few action scenes and the film ends. That's a bummer, mainly because his character felt significant and would've been explored with more screen time.

Nonetheless, Black Panther lives up to the hype and is undoubtedly one of the best stand-alone superhero films in the MCU right beside The Winter Soldier. Similar to Logan, this film didn't feel like a generic superhero film as it presented us enjoyable characters, pleasing performances and a dazzling look at the world of Wakanda. An excellent entry to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

'Happy Phir Bhag Jayegi' to Release on August 24, 2018!

'Salute' Starring SRK to Start Shooting from September!

Although Shah Rukh Khan is not in one of his best forms in the past few years, King Khan is still one of the busiest actors working in B Town today. Though he is currently working with Aanand L Rai for "ZERO", he's been approached by Siddharth Roy Kapoor from UTV Motion Pictures to star in the biopic of astronaut Rakesh Sharma, which is tentatively titled "Salute".

According to a recent report, sources say that he might start shooting for "Salute" from September of this year. Here's the statement, "SRK wants to start shooting in September and continue for two months before he starts promoting "ZERO", which releases on Christmas. After that, he will resume Salute's shoot from January 2019. The film is expected to release next year."

Interestingly, Aamir Khan was first approached for the biopic, but he had to decline because he is busy with "Thugs Of Hindostan" and he himself recommended Shah Rukh Khan’s name to them. WOW!

On the other side, "ZERO" is all set to hit the theatres on 21 December 2018 and will also star Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.

'Aitraaz' Sequel in Works with Priyanka Chopra!

Aitraaz, directed by Abbas-Mustan was one of the most successful films back in 2004 and is also one of the breakout films for Priyanka Chopra, as she won numerous accolades and was appreciated for her antagonist role. The latest reports from the tinsel town suggest that the sequel is on the cards and Peecee is being considered to return, which is the exciting part.

Subhash Ghai has already had a word with Priyanka Chopra and the two have discussed the film. She loves the idea of a sequel to a film which won her accolades for her performance in a negative role and is excited to feature in the second installment of the franchise. She is keen to collaborate with Ghai again and has even told him that she will try working on her dates,” a source reveals to a leading daily.

Aiyaary - Honest Movie Review

Verdict - "The Worst!"

Two talented lead actors, one celebrated director, a sixty-crore budget and an engaging source material, all the essential traits needed for a commercially successful film met. What could possibly go wrong? Sounds and seems like an entertaining film for me. Now, after watching the film, I asked myself only one question, At which spot will this "trainwreck of a film" end up in my "Top 5 Worst Bollywood Movies of 2018" list?

Normally at this point in any one of my reviews, I would typically introduce the plot just to give you guys an idea of what the movie is all about. But, for this particular review, I feel it's unnecessary and pointless (hopefully this will be the last time) to elaborate. Cause, firstly, the film didn't have a clear-cut storyline and secondly, if it did, I didn't understand any of it. Surprising? Isn't it?

Nonetheless, Neeraj Pandey is a successful director with a 100% track record and that's tough to maintain. However, it's hard to believe that a writer-director who gives immense importance to the storyline and screenplay would make such an atrocious film like Aiyaary which is awfully boring and impotent at the same time. The whole 160-minute runtime was this slow, mundane, absurd, frustrating build-up which is never really resolved anything in the climax which is the most aggravating part. The patchy screenplay is downright horrendous cause you will never understand where the movie is going, why is it extremely long and why certain scenes exist. Honestly, I can't even recollect the film now and it's only been two hours since I've seen it.

Advancing to the performances, Manoj Bajpayee didn't fail to impress as he did the best he could with his lackluster character. Sidharth Malhotra was decent, he's not bad or exceptional, again due to the lifeless character, you can't cheer, feel or even connect with his character which was a letdown. Rakul Preet Singh and Pooja Chopra were just present for the sake of it as they add no interest to the film.

Let's wrap this up quickly, overall, Aiyaary is undoubtedly one of the worst films I've seen in a very long time. The dreadful screenplay, purposeless storyline and the exhausting runtime baffles you with boredom, outrage, and disgust. It's been a long time since I've seen people leave the auditorium with expressions which are unerringly negative and that's not a good sign at all.

Shah Rukh Khan REJECTED Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Movie Offer!?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been on a roll lately, his last controversial film "Padmaavat" is a major box-office success and the director is very keen to make a movie with SRK although his last three films starred Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. He even offered not one but two films to SRK but the actor refused them both.

As reported by a leading daily, Shah Rukh Khan has turned down Bhansali's films. A source told the daily. "Shah Rukh is not doing Sanjay's film anymore. They had several meetings to discuss the scripts in hand last year, but nothing really worked out. SRK politely turned down the movies that were offered to him."

The source adds, "SLB and SRK are both extremely professional. They don't let work affect their personal equation. They are good friends and they remain so. They have promised to work together on something very soon."

Well, did SRK make a wise decision cause Bhansali is a celebrated director and doing a film with him is definitely a no-brainer. What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments below.

Kriti Sanon to Star as the Lead in 'Ek Villain 2'!?

Although the majority of the movie critics slammed "Ek Villain" with negative reviews, the movie is undeniably a box-office success and that's all that matters. Now, the makers of the film Balaji Motion Pictures are very keen to make a sequel with Sidharth Malhotra remaining as the male lead, but, we might not see Shraddha Kapoor coming back.

As per latest reports from the film city, the producers are very keen to cast the New Delhi bombshell Kriti Sanon as the female lead. This comes off as a surprise cause Kriti is relatively new to Bollywood and is yet to star in a major successful movie.

Here's a statement from an anonymous source, "Though Kriti Sanon's "Raabta" didn't do anything great for her; the actress was appreciated for her work in "Bareilly Ki Barfi" that has turned the favor on her side. Same goes for Sidharth. His last few films like "Baar Baar Dekho" and "A Gentleman" tanked at the box-office but after Ittefaq, many filmmakers are said to have thought of approaching him. Also, Sidharth and Sanon have not been paired as yet so few of the makers are very keen on casting them together in a film."

Amy Jackson to Romance Salman Khan in 'Kick 2'!?

Now, according to the flying rumors, we might see the dreamy British beauty Amy Jackson take the charge as the female lead from Jacky. Amy is known for her sensuous looks back in South Indian cinema and is also surprisingly the female lead in Rajnikanth's "2.0". Amy also has a poor track record in Bollywood with her previous films, "Singh is Bliing", "Freaky Ali" and "Ek Deewana Tha" failing at the box-office.
